Our Early Childhood Education TeaM
Our team is carefully selected through a thoughtful and thorough hiring process designed to ensure we bring the very best educators and caregivers into our classrooms. Each candidate goes through multiple stages of review, including interviews, reference checks, and evaluations of their experience working with children. Before joining our team, all staff members participate in orientation and training days. This process ensures that every educator understands our philosophy, values, expectations, and commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
All Junior Kindergarten and Pre-K daycare supervisors are required to hold a current Early Childhood Education License to Practice, in accordance with provincial regulations. This ensures they meet the professional standards required to support young learners in a structured and developmentally appropriate environment. Our Early Childhood Education assistants may be actively enrolled in an approved ECE training program, allowing them to gain valuable hands-on experience while continuing their formal education and professional development.
Supervisors and Team Leads within our Infant and Toddler programs have completed specialized Diplomas in Infant Toddler Care and Special Needs Education. This additional training equips them with the knowledge and skills required to support children during critical stages of development. Their education focuses on understanding developmental milestones, supporting emotional regulation, and creating inclusive environments that meet the needs of every child.
Beyond their academic credentials, all staff members maintain current First Aid and CPR certifications and have completed criminal record checks with vulnerable sector screening for working with children. Junior Scholars is proud to have a team of dedicated and compassionate educators who work together to create a warm, nurturing, and consistent environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, and academically every day.
